• Develop health and safety polices and procedure in accordance with Fonterra’s global standards to ensure a health and safe working environment.

• Oversee and assist department managers in the implementation of the policies and procedure to ensure compliance with SNZMP policies and procedures.

• Participate in setting health and safety objectives for SNZMP and assist department manager in cascade down to all employees to ensure compliance with Fonterra’s Standard.

• Conduct health and safety orientation and training sessions to all employees to ensure employee awareness and knowledge.

• Conduct routine inspection to ensure health and safety rules and regulation are met.

• Participate in investigation of the accident to identify the causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.

• Review and finalize all the incidents reports and rise to regional level to ensure timely and fair resolution.

• Coordinates the global audit check by providing all required information to ensure a comprehensive check to measure the performance of SNZMP.

• Review the global audit check and develop an action plan to implement all recommended changes to ensure compliance with Fonterra’s standards.

• Manage the health safety system to ensure effectiveness and meets SNZMP needs.

• Coordinates governmental health inspection to ensure certification and continued operations.

• Coordinates the inspection and evaluation of workplace environment, equipment and practices in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
